What to Bring:

  • Sack lunch for Friday
  • Pocket knife
  • Hand lens
  • Basket or bucket to collect mushroom samples
  • Sturdy hiking shoes (or Rubber boots)
  • Coffee mug and water bottle (to bring into the field).
  • Please wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the prevailing weather (Bring layers for variable conditions.)
  • Sleeping bag, or sheets and blankets
    (Note: Bedding sets, including a pillow, pillow case, sheets, and comforter, are available for rent for an additional fee)

  • Towel
  • Alarm clock
  • Toiletries
  • PJ / Slippers
  • Warm jacket
  • Windbreaker or coat
  • Warm hat
  • Mittens (warmer than gloves)
  • Warm socks
  • Small flashlight
  • Rain jacket and rain pants (more effective than a poncho)
  • Notepad with pen or pencil
  • Daypack
