Board of Directors
We are currently expanding our board of directors to increase the strength and diversity of our organization. We are seeking individuals with a deep passion for ecological sustainability and enough time to commit to the duties of being a board member. Previous board experience is not necessary. Board candidate elections take place each April and potential candidates are encouraged to follow the steps below at any time during the year. If you are interested in learning more about becoming a candidate for our Board of Directors, please follow these four steps:
Once we have reviewed all of your information, we will contact you regarding your interests and answer any questions you may have. Pre-screened candidates will be invited to attend a portion of a Board Meeting. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Erick McWayne for more information at (206)762-1976 or emcwayne@eosalliance.org. We look forward to hearing from you! |
Professional Services We are currently seeking accounting consultation for our organization in an effort to create annual audited financial statements. This will allow EOS Alliance to pursue GSA contracts and Federal combined giving campaigns. If you know of anyone who may be able to assist us with this, please feel free to contact us at (206)762-1976 or email us at info@eosalliance.org. |
Program Volunteers There are numerous ways to get involved with EOS Alliance. Specific opportunities are listed below. To learn about other opportunities and express your interest in potentially getting involved, contact us at (206)762-1976 or email us at info@eosalliance.org. |
Restoration Volunteers EOS Alliance is looking for individuals to help improve and increase biodiversity in the South Central Puget Sound Area. We hold monthly work parties for volunteers of all ages and skill levels. Come work with us to remove invasive plants like ivy and blackberry and to replace them with native trees and shrubs. For more information about our upcoming work parties please check out our calendar, or call Shannon at (206) 762-2553. We look forward to hearing from you! |
Employment Opportunities: The Environmental Outreach and Stewardship (EOS) Alliance (the parent organization for NWETC) is currently hiring for several positions. Please see below for details. |
Workshop Instructors (Status: Ongoing Contract Hire) The Northwest Environmental Training Center (NWETC) is always seeking experienced environmental professionals who enjoy teaching to lead training events for environmental professionals. Workshop topics range across the spectrum of environmental science, biology, ecology, geology, chemistry, health and safety, engineering, planning, and management. All interested applicants are encouraged to copy
our list of potential workshop topics into an email and indicate
the topic you can teach immediately with minimal
preparation, area of competency (some reading to refresh you
memory required), and/or area of knowledge (substantial preparation
required). Submit your list to info@nwetc.org. Click here for a list of potential workshop
topics. Workshops are typically one to three days long and
are often co-taught by a team of instructors. Workshop attendees
are typically environmental consultants, planners, engineers,
natural resource managers, and public regulators. Our trainers
receive from $400 - $500 per day plus any travel, lodging, and
material expenses. Positions are part-time to full-time and flexible.
We prefer candidates with an M.S. or Ph.D. in a related field,
but will consider all experienced applicants. Environmental Outreach and Stewardship (EOS) Alliance or via email at info@eosalliance.org |
