WSEENA is a study of all public schools in Washington State intended to determine the status of environmental education and resource needs of public schools. The survey was mailed to all 2,651 K-12 schools in Washington. Approximately 27 percent of the schools responded (709 schools). WSEENA includes valuable information for environmental educators, school administrators, and foundations seeking an improved understanding of the environmental education landscape of Washington. WSEENA is a database that includes contact information for all respondents. NWEEC is working with the Environmental Education Association of Washington and other environmental education organizations to ensure that the specific needs of schools are met effectively. You can request access to the database below.
NWEEC will be publishing the WSEENA results in education journals and giving presentations throughout the state to encourage the use of this powerful tool for improving the quality of education in Washington. The draft report can be downloaded below.
